Attention, no start number will be given in la Tour-de-Peilz or sent by post !

Deadline for sign up and payments
October 3rd from abroad either by bank or post office
October 9th by post from Switzerland (date stamp on the payment form). All payments (even with a CHF 10.- supplement) with a date stamp after this date will not be processed. The runner will have to repeat all the procedure at the Expo on the 22nd, 23rd or the 24th of October and pay the supplement of CHF 10.-.
October 16th at SportxX, Migros Crissier.
October 17th on the Datasport web site, with credit card.
October 22nd, 23rd, 24th by late entry at Marathon Expo, extra charge CHF 10.-.
  A chip not returned to the organizers, a CHF 50.- (EUR 34.-) fine for the runner.

collection of race numbers - Signing up the day (extra charge of CHF 10.-)
By presenting your receipt or proof of payement, in the Marathon tent Expo, Pl. de la Navigation, Ouchy. Friday 22nd from 4 pm to 7 pm, Saturday 23rd from 11 am. to 7 pm. and Sunday 24th from 7 am. until one hour before the start of each race and until 11.30 am. for the 1/2 Marathon.
  Attention! No race numbers can be given out at La Tour-de-Peilz.
  Changing your runing distance is possible at the number distribution, for an extra cost of CHF 5.- (the price difference is not returnable).
  No refund in case of withdrawal. . Upon presentation of a medical certificate the registration can be carried forward to 2005.

Transport for La Tour-de-Peilz (free)
The departure place and times of the race transport will be given to the runners with their race number.

Clothes transport for marathon 1/2 and 1/4
Au départ de Lausanne et la Tour-de-Peilz: des vêtements peuvent être déposés dans des sacs avec numéro de dossard autocollant (distribué par l'organisateur au Marathon Expo). Ils seront transportés par l'organisateur à l'arrivée, pl. de la Navigation à Ouchy.

Valuables and insurance
Each participant is responsible for his or her own insurance. The organisers decline all responsibility in case of accident, damage or theft.
Valuables: Reception at the Bellerive swimming pool.

Changing rooms
The TL Buses be free, Ouchy - Stade Pierre de Coubertin - Ouchy. Saturday from 11am to 8pm, Sunday from 8am to 5pm.
  Lausanne: women and men, Bellerive Swimming-pool, Pierre-de-Coubertin stadium, the Auguste-Piccard school gymnasium.
  La Tour-de-Peilz: women and men, Collège Marronniers and Courbet.

Prizes
Each participant will receive a souvenir prize. The official medal is presented at the finish line.
  Elites and wheelchair prizeswill be given in front of the Olympic Museum  fountain around 12:45.
  Prizes will be given to the first three of each category in the canteen at Ouchy, pl. de la Navigation:
 
  • 11:00: Roller
  • 13:00: 1/4 marathon

  • 14:00: mini marathon

  • 15:30: marathon

  • 16:30: 1/2 marathon

    Mini Marathon children (4.219 km)
    Ten mini children's race is strictly for children born between 1988 and 1997. No parents will be allowed to run in the race.

    Timing and classification
    The electronic timing chip given out with your race number must be worn on the sport's shoe in order to be timed and ranked. Before leaving the service area after the finish, you must return the borrowed chip to the designated bin or you can send the borrowed chip within 5 days of the event (well packed to address Lausanne-Marathon). A Chip not returned means CHF 50.- fine for the runner.

    Helmets for inline-skaters
    It is compulsory to wear a helmet for the entire race.
    The race will take place even if it rains.

    Results
    Each participant will receive the full results by post by the end of November 2004.

    Course - time limit
    Runners who have not passed the 20 km mark by 1.00 p.m. will be stopped. After 3.30 pm. the security measures will be removed from the course and the runners must respect normal road rules from that time on.

    Public transport
    A shuttle free bus is available to take participants from the finish line to the Bellerive Swimming-pool and Stadium Pierre de Coubertin

    Refreshments - sponges - first aid - controls
    See the map of the race. The organisers will provide the following: Water, Isotonic drinks Sponser, fruit, sugar.

    Official refreshment posts
    At km 5 - 10 - 15 - 20 - 25 - 30 - 35 and 40.
    Personal refreshments carrying a sticker with the runner's number and the refreshment station (in km) can be left at the entrance to Bellerive swimming pool on sunday 24th october between 9 and 9.15 a.m. For marathon runners only.

    Condition to race, important!
    The Lausanne Marathon races are hard endurance tests and need serious and adequate training and good health.

    As given by the present rules of the IAAF and FSA.

    Disqualification
    No outside help in any shape or form is allowed. The start number must to be worn so that the number is easily visible as well as the sponsors publicity. Cyclists are not allowed on the course. All accompanied runners will be disqualified.
