Cancellation - Refund Conditions

Registration fees will not be reimbursed under any circumstances.
Internet registration: transaction charges are payable to the credit card companies and Datasport. In the event of cancellation, registrations cannot be carried over to the following year. Entrants will be offered cancellation insurance. Entrants who have taken out this insurance and who wish to cancel should get in touch with Européenne Assurances Voyages SA: www.datasport.ch
Registration by BVR or BV: upon presentation of a medical certificate or other documentary proof, registration can be carried over to the following year.

Change of distance

Entrants will be permitted to change distance free of charge, by telephone or e-mail, up to 17:00 on 21 October. After this point, a charge of CHF 5.00 will be made.

Changing rooms

Lausanne: men and women, Auguste Piccard gymnasium and Bellerive swimming pool.

La Tour-de-Peilz: College des Marronniers and de Courbet school, located 200m from the starting point.

Clothes bags

Upon collecting their race numbers, entrants will receive a plastic bag and self-adhesive sticker giving the runner’s race number. Clothes and personal items (excluding valuables) can be placed in this bag; no other bag will be accepted. The ½ Marathon bags are to be deposited in the trucks waiting at the starting point. They will be transported to the Marathon Expo tent. For the Marathon and 10 km race, please refer to the details on your race number.

Course - time limited to marathon

A time limit applies to marathon runners only. Runners who have not passed the 20 km mark by 13:00 will be stopped. Security arrangements will be progressively dismantled, starting from La Tour-de-Peilz, from 15:30 onwards. After this point, competitors must respect the normal rules of the road.

Disqualification

No outside help of any kind is allowed. Runners with pushchairs will be disqualified. Race numbers must be worn in such a way that the number and sponsors are clearly visible. Accompanying cyclists are not allowed on the course. Runners who fail to observe these regulations will be disqualified.

If you want to come to Lausanne by the car, please think about carsharing! E-Carsharing.ch is the swiss plattform for carsharing to bring driver and passengers together for occasional or regular ones stretches.

The lost can be recovered in the info booth at the Expo October 28-29 and 30. On the 30th October from 11.00 am in the info booth on the dock in front of the Hotel d'Angleterre.

The 20th edition of the Lausanne Marathon will take place on Sunday, October 28th, 2012.

Pasta party

Free Pasta Party for all entrants on the boat Le Lausanne, docked at Ouchy landing stage, on Saturday 29 October from 16:00 to 20:00.

Starting Blocks

5 minutes will be added to the race time of any runner who fails to start in the block specified on his or her  race number! This cannot be corrected after the race.
Runners can request changes to their time and block up to 17:00 on 21 October. After this point, no further changes can be made. Starting blocks are definitively allocated on 23 October.

Timing chips

The timing chip having fixed to the back of your number is ownership of Datasport. You must giveit back at the arrival. In case of loss, we will charge you CHF 55.-. In case of abandonment or of withdrawal, please return your chip by post, wrapped and protected from a cardboard so that the envelope is not torn during mail sorting: Lausanne Marathon –  Av. de Rhodanie 54 – 1007 Lausanne.
